2009 Zinfandel Addor
Mendocino County
The 2009 Addor Vineyard Zinfandel is
produced from the lower block on Felix
Addor’s property, this block was planted 12
years ago. The lower block used to be
Carignan planted in the 1930s, Felix decided
to plant Zinfandel in its place. We now
control the (old vine) “upper block” as well.
This is an uberrich Mendocino Zinfandel,
is has wonderful berry-cherry fruit, black
pepper and Chocolate in the nose. Lush
acidity and a long exhilarating finish
Manzanita Creek Zinfandels are among the
finest wines produced.
We age our
Zinfandels in carefully chosen oak barrels for
18 to 32 months. Our attention to detail is
relentless, our dedication is obvious.

VINEYARD DETAILS | Soil profile: | The Mollisol soil series consists of abundant organic matter in the topsoil (33% clay) and subsurface (48% clay) layers. Both drainage and heat retention in this soil type are quite good, allowing for naturally balanced vine vigor in addition to physiological ripeness. |
