The 2010 Foothill Vineyard Chardonnay is grown on a western facing slope of the Mayacamas Mountains near the town of Windsor in Sonoma County. This growing region is known for its volcanic chalky white ash soil, hence the name Chalk Hill. The growing conditions for these Chardonnay vines are arguably the best in the New World. This exceptional wine is a perfect of its terrior.
Tropical aromas of Pineapple, pear with a hint of guava, hints of butterscotch & vanilla. Excellent mouth feel, Fruit is framed with a crisp acidity. Classic flavors of toasted hazelnut leaving an impression of sweetness with a lingering finish.
